Is the knowledge base of the refinery, chemical or petrochemical complex.
In this module are univocally declared:

Plant section
Measurement instruments,
Flow compensation rules
Tanks calibration tables
Movement paths
Equipment design data
Analytical sample definitions
Target yields and consumption,
Plant set-ups, and
Costs of materials.

The modules linked to the Plant Data Book include:

Plant Supervisory

That retrieves plant measures from DCS and performs compensation and on-line calculations, stores measured and calculated data for a long period and displays the information on dedicated graphic displays.

Analysis Management

That allows the laboratory analysts to input sample analytical values to be used for flow compensations and products composition calculations.

Thanks Movement

That allows tanks farm operators to defined and manage all movements of raw materials and products.
All data concerning product movements are stored and reconciled on a daily basis with plant production data.

Plant Performance Monitoring

That identifies the operating conditions of each plant and stores the most important process and performance data in an homogeneous way, in order to allow process engineers to compare plant efficiency on short and long term basis.

Equipment Monitoring and Maintenance

That collects and stores normal and abnormal operating conditions, faults and maintenance operations of plant main equipments.
For each plant, the module supplies maintenance technicians with effective equipment working times, maintenance and fault history and the preventive maintenance operation plan.

Production Management

That calculates on daily, weekly and monthly basis the material balance, the yields and the utilities consumption of each plant and of the overall complex, including tanks, arrivals and shippings. Reconciled data are compared with target goals to allow plant managers to control plant performances.

Cost Evaluation

That calculates on daily basis the effective variable plant production costs and the operation margins. Actual feeds costs, intermediate products and utilities variable costs computed on the basis of validated and reconciled measurements- and effective plant operating conditions are used.

Production Planning

That allows plant management to define the optimal production plan in a medium term period. The module performs a rigorous plant simulation, calculating intermediate product quantities, plant section efficiencies and utilities consumption, assigned the quantities of final products to be produced and the amount of feedstock to be treated.

Production Scheduling

That finds optimal operating conditions for each plant to satisfy the planned production demand with no violation of short-term plant constraints on feedstock supply, equipment availability, units capacity.

Environment Monitoring

That collects effluent emissions data for the refinery, chemical or petrochemical complex.
The module acquires measured analytical values from the intruments located in the surroundings and integrates them with values sampled by campaign. The module points out when pre-alarm and alarm emission limits are exceeded, on the basis of meteorological data and plant operating conditions and generates official reports and trends for public authorities on many time inter----
